CRAFT

Built close
to the idea.

Origin is engineered, refined and assembled in Poland. Keeping the disciplines together lets every detail answer to the original acoustic intention.

01

Material intelligence

Aluminium, dielectric materials and high-voltage wiring are chosen for acoustic and structural purpose. Every finish begins with engineering.

Structural components are CNC-machined for repeatable geometry, then finished to protect the material and preserve its precision. Aluminium elements, tensioned membranes and insulating parts are evaluated for stability, resonance behaviour and long-term consistency. The high-gloss black elements receive a genuine piano-grade resin finish in Kalisz, applied at a specialist facility with roots in piano manufacture and expertise in piano restoration. The process gives the surfaces their depth and durability while preserving the dimensional precision required by the acoustic structure.

02

Human precision

Every electrostatic panel is installed, adjusted and hand-tuned for a defined acoustic range. Together, they form one continuous, phase-coherent sound field.

Each panel’s format and tuning determine its mechanical and acoustic behaviour, including a controlled set of fundamental and higher-order resonances. Rather than dividing the signal with a conventional electrical crossover, LIROSTAT coordinates these resonant regions across dozens of ultra-light membranes. Efficiency, response and integration are adjusted panel by panel so adjacent ranges merge naturally into a continuous, linear acoustic response across the audible spectrum.

03

Made to endure

Origin is made as a long-term instrument, not a disposable object. Precision and serviceability guide production.

The construction is documented and organised so that key assemblies can be inspected, adjusted and serviced over time. Durable finishes and controlled production protect both appearance and acoustic stability. Origin is built with the expectation that ownership will be measured in years of listening, not product cycles.

04 · THE MAKING OF ORIGIN

From aluminium.
To acoustic instrument.

Origin is created through a controlled sequence of precision manufacturing, specialist finishing and manual acoustic work. Selected components — including transformers, diaphragm film and cabling — are commissioned from partners and made to Lirogon’s specifications.

  1. 01

    Multi-axis CNC machining

Lirogon manufactures Origin’s structural aluminium components in Poland using large-format CNC centres and integrated CAD/CAM workflows.

  2. 02

    Surface protection & finish

The aluminium structure is hard-anodised for durability. Visible black elements receive a genuine piano-grade resin finish in Kalisz, applied at a specialist facility with roots in piano manufacture and expertise in piano restoration.

  3. 03

    Dimensional inspection

Frame geometry and mounting points are verified on a Wenzel coordinate measuring machine with a Renishaw probing system.

  4. 04

    Panel assembly & tuning

Each panel is installed and hand-tuned for a defined acoustic range. Controlled fundamental and higher-order resonances integrate with adjacent panels to form a continuous, linear and phase-coherent response.

  5. 05

    Internal architecture

ZUKA, custom high-voltage wiring and selected dielectric materials are integrated with controlled routing and separation.

  6. 06

    Pair calibration & listening

Each completed pair is individually calibrated, hand-finished and critically listened to before completion.
